Vacations at First Avenue

Australian indie-rock band Vacations brings its Minneapolis show to First Avenue on March 7, 2027. Known for melodic guitar-driven songs and laid-back alternative pop, the band emerged from Newcastle, Australia, and built an international following through independent releases and streaming favorites. Tracks such as “Young,” “Telephones” and “Home” showcase the shimmering guitars and wistful vocals that have become central to its sound.

Vacations' music balances an easygoing indie-pop feel with reflective lyrics, making for a set suited to both energetic crowd moments and quieter singalongs. The Minneapolis date is listed as a Concerts event in the Pop / rock category. First Avenue's downtown setting places the show in the heart of the city's live-music scene. No tour name or opening act has been provided for this date.

Venue and Seating Information

First Avenue is a landmark downtown Minneapolis concert venue. Its Mainroom holds approximately 1,600 guests and is primarily a general-admission, standing-room space, with no standard reserved seating. Arriving early can help concertgoers choose a preferred position on the floor.

Limited balcony seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Balcony tables are reserved for First Avenue Members, so check the event's ticket details before making plans around balcony access. Tickets are mobile-only through the AXS app.

Parking Information

First Avenue does not operate an official parking lot. Downtown Minneapolis offers several nearby options, but availability and rates can vary by location and event night; check current signs or posted garage rates before parking.

• Surface lot: Behind the venue near 1st Avenue and 8th Street; the closest listed option.
• Mayo Building underground ramp: Across the street on 7th Street.
• A, B and C Ramps: A few blocks away, with accessible elevators to street level.
• Metered street parking: Available in the surrounding downtown area, subject to posted restrictions.

Because there is no venue-operated lot, avoid assuming that nearby spaces will be available at showtime. Rideshare drop-off and pickup are available along 1st Avenue North in front of the venue at 701 N 1st Avenue.
